Daniel Fernandez Scholarship

Graduated as National Teacher of English, Ma in Applied Linguistics, Specific Didactics of Foreign Languages and Educational Technologies, Durham University, United Kingdom. Doctor in Language Sciences, School of Languages, Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. Author of different books on teaching English: Interactive Computer-Mediated Teacher Training: Supporting Change in a Process of Educational Reorientation (2000) y Humanities On Stage. Elementary. Longman. Pearson Education (2001). Full time Professor and Coordinator of International Relations  and the Language Centre of Universidad Nacional del Litoral.

This scholarship was set up by the FAAPI Executive Committee with funds generated by the FAAPI conference itself. Its aim is to help a teacher or teacher educator from Argentina to attend and present at the FAAPI Annual Conference for the first time.

The award consists of:

  • Registration fee for the FAAPI Annual Conference
  • Three-day accommodation expenses in a three-star hotel (decided by FAAPI)


Gala Award


  • An Early Bird full registration fee (and a printed award certificate) will be granted to the winner.
  • The award is a one-time-only award and non-transferable.
  • Among all candidates complying with the requirements, the winner will be decided by an online software. If the winner is not able to receive the award, another draw will be carried out.


  • Contact your local Teachers’ Association.
  • Provide proof of consecutive attendance to the past 5 FAAPI Conferences or non-consecutive attendance to 5 Conferences as from 2008, by sending documentation to them.
  • Get a certificate from your Teachers’ Association stating that you are a candidate for this award
  • Write to with the certificate, before the Early Bird Registration for the Conference.
